Bloody Show?

Had an internal exam tuesday, 1cm and 50% effaced at 38 weeks. Had mild bleeding after, ever since my usual white discharge is dark and blood tinged? Anyone else experience anything like this? Can the irritation from the exam last that long?

I'm 39 weeks and i went to the doctor on wednesday and she stripped my membranes and i was 3 cm dialated. I had some cramping from it and i'm still having some cramping today. I had some bloody show later that night and i have been losing some of my plug.

Maybe that's what this was. After the plug is gone should the discharge stop all together? Yesterday there was some darker discharge not as much as normal though and today I have had no discharge at all but lots of pressure and cramps. Hopefully labor will start soon?
