No it doesnt. I have been drinking it for almost 2 months now and all it does is "ready" your cervix for labor. Some doctors and midwives will recommend drinking the tea throughout your whole pregnancy because it gets your cervix ready and makes labor easier. It is in no way shape or form a natural induction method. Evening primrose oil is also a good one to use if you are 38 weeks or later because it will help to soften your cervix as well but wont do anything to put you into labor. Castor oil, blue and black cohosh, sex, nipple stimulation, walking...these things I've heard work to induce naturally but I would steer clear from the blue and black cohosh because study has shown that it causes fetal distress and sometimes causes the baby to have a heart attack. My midwife said sex, sex, and more sex is the best way! Good luck and hope i helped a little.
