HI i am 35weeks and 3 days. The last few days i have been having this sharp pain just above pubic area it does not lat long nad goes to my back. I was at the docter yesterday and he said everthing was fine. could this be a sign that labour will start soon or in the next few weeks. Has anyone eles had this? I still have lots a movement. Would really like some answears if anyone has them.

I am 40 weeks and have been having those same pains since about week 36. The Dr. said it was the baby's head pushing on nerve endings in the pelvis and there was nothing to worry about. I thought it was a sign that the baby was coming soon, but for me this has not been the case. The baby still has not dropped and I continue to get the sharp pelvic pains.
Good luck!

Finally I have found someone experiencing the same sort of pain. The first time i experienced it was when i was about 20 weeks or so. It didnt come back until just recently, im now 30 weeks. It really scared me the first few times i felt it because it was quite painful. I feel much better now knowing that im not the only one experiencing that!

I have been feeling it too, since about week 35. Now I am 39 weeks and it only gets worse. When he's moving I feel it more intense. I hear its just him pushing against the nerves. I guess the bigger he gets the more it happens. Hang in there.

it could also be your ligaments streching while your child is moving to do it's thing.
