what should I do on the day of labour? What things should i bring?

I'm not at that point yet, but all the different books I've read says bring a good WARM pair of socks because apparently your feet will be really COLD. I might bring mittens too just in case because apparently in some mother's it really affects your extremidies while giving birth.
