Hello, when I went to the restroom yesterday I noticed that there was some bright red blood when I wiped...I freaked out, but my mother told me to wait and see if it stops. I kept happening for a little bit and then faded away to brown, then to nothing. I was having horrible pains all day and today as well. I had an ultrasound on the 28th because my uterus is measuring small, but my doctor never said if everything was ok or not, he just moved me along so he could take the next patient. I called my doctor today though, and they said the would call me back and its been a couple of hours and Im still waiting. I was just wondering if any of you knew why this could be happening and if she's still ok :)

Is this your first baby? some women tend to measure smaller with there first and things turn out just fine. I use the example of a balloon take a deep breathe and try to blow up a ballon with that one breath and it doesnt really stretch that much. now if you release the air and take another breathe the balloon blows up more than last time, its like what your uterus does with pregnancies. Anyways I had spotting/bleeding, cramps, and back pains all through my pregnancy and had a very healthy baby boy,. I know it can be terrifying when you go in for a u/s and they dont tell you anything but keep in mind if it was serious your dr would know immediatly thus you would know. take care

I had spotting as well at 20 weeks with pain. I began having contractions and bleeding at 22 weeks and delivered my son at 22 weeks. He did not make it. Bleeding or spotting in late pregnancy is not normal and you should call your doc or go to the ER asap. Good luck!

I highly suggest taking emtcutie's advice. First off, find another doctor who is sensitive to you needs and answers all your questions. Most OB's are aware that first time mom's are chalk full of questions, and purposely book more time with them. Second of all, if I had bleeding of any amount at this point in my pregnancy (I am 20 weeks), I would be on my way to the ER. My theory is that it's better safe than sorry. I hope things are ok and work out. Keep us posted. ---------emtcutie, I hope you are doing well. I keep thinking about you and I hope you are beginning the healing process. I read your story to my husband and it brought him to tears. Thanks for taking the time to share that with us. Take care of yourself ----

Hello ladies :) I went to the doctor for the spotting and he did a pelvic exam and we found out I have BV and so Im on meds for that. He said that I was probably spotting because Im a very easy bleeder and the infection probably caused me to spot a little. Im hoping that everything turns out fine, emtcutie- Im so sorry for your loss, I couldn't imagine having to go through that. Thank you guys for your advice and hopefully I can bring my baby to full term~!
