[Original Post]

ok i started spotting on the 29th of oct and still am off and on i went into the ER being concerned about it on the 29th and they did an US using the little crapy machine they have in the ER and they didn't see anything but i would have only been 5 weeks on the 30th so they weren't concerned about it and were going to send me for an US the next day with the tech and better machines, But had to wait for my HCG beta test results to come back first, When they did come back (they were done at about 2am on the 30th) about a 1/2 hour after they took it my level was only at 35, so they wanted me to come back in on the 31st to have it done again, so i went back in about 1pm on the 31st, and got my test back on tuesday 3rd and my levels only went up to 37.4 so my family doctor wanted to do another test and see what happens so i went yesterday the 4th and will find out tomorrow what it was at.

But i am nervous the spotting is pretty much gone now but i had no cramping at all or any pain of any kind, and a friend of mine said if it was a miscarriage i would have been bleeding heavily (shes had a few her self) so the other thing is an ectopic but again wouldn't i be in pain by now at 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow? i am not holding out any hope that i will be having a baby from this but i am confused as to what is going on. I never had a HCG beta test with my daughter so i don't know a whole lot about it other then that its really really low for how far along i should be by my LMP.

I am basically having the same issues as you are. Ill give you a brief run down of my story.
Me and my husband have been actively trying to conceive for 6 months now. Counting days, home ovulation kits, everything. Well on Nov. 5th we got a very faint positive test. I was excited and no concerns(since I already have a child I didn't think we had issues of fertility)Well on Nov. 8th I started bleeding a little. SO we waited till the next morning to test...a negative. We figured it was a chemical pregnancy and prepared ourselves for a negative test at the doctors. Went to the doctors on Nov. 9th and got a positive. Since I was having bleeding similar to a normal period, they wanted to do and HCG blood test. They took blood on 11/9 and again on 11/11. My numbers went from 26 to 48. Not quite what they want. My doctor is concerned about ectopic now. He told me to keep an eye on my bleeding and pain. I go back on 11/17 for more blood work and discuss is on 11/18. Keep me updated on your situation and best of luck :)

I'm sorry to hear your going through this, Well i didn't update cause no one had posted back to me, but here's what happened with me.

I had my HCG levels checked checked and re checked turns out i heard my doctor wrong at my 2nd apt and it had went up to 47.4 within 24 hours which was ok but still really low for how far i was suppose to be, so he did another test and it went up to 174, which was good but still low so he wanted to check once more and so i went back to the lab and got it done again but that afternoon when i got home i noticed i was bleeding heavier then i had been so i went back up to the ER and was told i was most likely having a miscarriage after they did a bed side U/S so they sent me up an apt to come for a real ultrasound and took more blood to check my levels. At about 11 pm that night i passes what i believe was the baby and it was confirmed the next day at the ultrasound that i had a miscarriage, and my numbers were going down. I'm very glad its wasn't an ectopic and that i didn't need a D&C that my body just took care of everything, it was very hard to have it confirmed after being giving a little bit of hope, and had cause a lot of stress in my relationship but its slowly getting better as time goes by.

I really hope everything works out for you or at least that its not an ectopic this is very scary thing to go though, keep me updated on how you are doing.
