Early Miscarriage?

What does an early miscarriage feel like/do? I am/would be 4w6d preggo, but I started spotting from 2w3d till 3w6d. Went to the Dr. at 3w2d and they checked my HCG levels M, W, and F and the results were 670, 621, and 646. The numbers weren't doubling so he said it would be a miscarriage. Went in at 4w4d and he did an u/s where he found nothing in my uterus, but nothing abnormal. I have no pain or cramping. He drew blood again, but waiting back on those results. When I spotted for those 11 days it was very, very light to light flow. Usually it would be about a quarter size stain on the panty liner. Yesterday at 4w5d I bled lightly, but that's when my period would have come down. Today it's only when I wipe. Could I already have experienced the miscarriage? If my levels don't go down, then he said I'd have to get a D&C done.

I'm so sorry for your loss! It sounds like it might be a demise. The non doubling HCG and the spotting together don't sound promising. On the flip side you are so early on you can basically try again quickly. Nature has a way of sorting out what is not right. I have had 3 miscarriages, and if you can, just keep your chin up and get right back into it! You will be successful the next go-round.

Could I have already experienced the miscarriage? I've had no real heavy bleeding, no clots, no pain, etc. How do I know when it's passed? I'm still waiting for my last HCG count that was done on Wednesday. I took a HPT right now and it still shows a very strong positive. My numbers weren't that high to begin with so I figured they would have tapered off by now, but I guess not. My first pregnancy ended with a D&C after we had detected a heartbeat, my second pregnancy produced a beautiful, healthy baby girl, and this was my third. I was very upset when I got my first results and the HCG count had dropped, but I'm okay now. I guess it helped to see there was nothing in my uterus, but a loss at any point in time is still devastating. Thanks for responding and good luck to you. It sounds like you may have had a miscarriage but with the numbers still being there and nothing in your womb I would also get him to check your tubes just in case. Good luck!

He looked at the tubes when he did the vaginal u/s and said there was nothing abnormal. The 4th round of HCGs is still pending. I did another HPT and it still comes out positve. I would have figured they would have gone down by now since they weren't so high to begin with. Oh well, I guess the waiting game continues. I just wish it would all be over with soon. I am getting really, really frustated with this bleeding/spotting one day and not for several and then again for one, it's annoying!!! Good luck to all.
