Hi everyone i'm new to this. I just got back home from having an emergency surgery after finding out I had an etopic pregnancy on Tuesday. I am only 25 and scared to death of the risk of having another pregnancy like this one. I don't think there has been a day that has gone by since I got home that I don't think about it. Can someone tell me what are the chances of having this happen again?

Hi there. I had an ectopic pregnancy 12 years ago - my tube ruptured and I was bleeding internally. I collapsed. Basically lucky to be here. The surgeon told me my other tube looked healthy and to wait 6 months before trying again. However I was terrified of having another ectopic so when I discovered I was pregnant again I was take to the early pregnancy unit where they gave me an ultrasound and it showed the baby was in the womb where it should be, I was told the risk of ectopic is higher if you have had one but I am now expecting my third baby after the ectopic and everything is going well so it's proof that there is every chance of conception and of having healthy pregnancy after ectopic. Its only natural for you to worry. Have you been offered any counselling or anything.

Hi wioletta25. I had an ectopic begining of February this year. I had an emergency surgery on Feb 11 and they removed my entire right tube. The doc looked at my left tube and said it looked text book perfect. I didn't get my period since the operation and on April 25, i ovulated and now i'm 20 weeks pregnant. The question is, did they remove the whole tube, or just remove the pregnancy from the tube? my doc said that since the damaged tube was completely taken out, i don't have so much of a risk of another if my other tube is fine. But if the damaged tube is left in, there is a high chance that you'l have another ectopic in that tube, because now its even more damaged. Did the doc check your other tube?
