Pregnancy Info HOME

For the past 3 weeks I have gone through alot of cervical changes.. I am 29 weeks pregnant and all this started with contractions and cramping .. again about 3 weeks ago..I have been seeing my midwife once a week since and the first time my cervix was as she described it.. not as hard as her nose but not as soft as the ear .. dimpled.. and the cervix was all the way up and back which gave her a hard time reaching it.. The second time I was checked she then described it as soft 50% and a fingertip... and now yesterday I went in and she says she isnt worried so much about a little dialation that can be normal... what her concern is now my cervix is front and center... took nothing for her to touch it and its soft as well..needless to say I have been put on bedrest..I guess my big ? is with all these quick changes what does this mean... will I most likely go into premature labor like I did with my son 9 years ago...although that labor was put off and I delivered him full term..I just dont know what to think.. this is my 4th child and its like this is the first time I am doing this..and advice or help with the medical terms being used would help... thanks so much
