Lightheadedness And Fainting

I know lightheadedness and fainting can be symptoms of pregnancy. Today, i blacked out and fainted while in the shower. I have gotten slightly lightheaded in the past but haven't gotten as bad as I had today. My bf's sister, who is also pregnant, has experienced a similar thing of blacking out. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I know there's nothing wrong with the baby because I had my first visit with the doctor yesterday and everything went well. I'm almost 7 weeks, the baby was there and it had a really strong heartbeat. Anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions on what I can do to avoid this happening again?

i frequently had light headedness early in pregnancy. the doctor assured me that it's normal. one thing you can do to avoid passing out is to sit down the moment you feel it coming on. lowering you head---
scary to black out, I'm glad to hear you and the baby are okay. and congratulations on the pregnancy!

This is really common, especially in the shower! Everything is fine, it's just your body's response to the hormonal and other changes going on. Congrats and good luck!
