HELLO TO ALL THAT IS ON THIS PAGE. I THANK YOU FOR YOUR STORIES. I HAVE BEEN TO THE ER TWICE SINCE I FOUND OUT I WAS PREGNANT ON THE 14 OF JUNE. AND ON THE LAST VISIT I WAS TOLD THE SAME THING, THAT MY LEVEL WAS LOW AND THAT I WAS GOING TO HAVE A MISCARRAGE. GIVEN THAT I AM AN AMERICAN SOLDIER OVERSEA IN KOREA AND MY HUSBAND IS OVERSEA IN HONDURAS, THIS IS ALOT TO TAKE BY MYSELF. BUT FOR DAYS I'VE BEEN PRAYING AND TODAY I FIND THIS SITE AND I THANK GOD FOR ALL THE STORIES AND THE HOPE THAT THESE WORDS HAVE GIVEN ME. I FEEL I CAN GO ON. I TRUELY THANK YOU ALL.

My LMP was 05/15. I had positive HPT on 06/15. Started bleeding on 06/17. Had blood test on Tuesday, hcg came back at 4000. Had u/s, saw gestational sac, but no heartbeat yet, still early. Waiting for results from second blood test. Heavy bleed at first, slowed down to just spotting last two days. I am scared to death. I have an eight year old, but we would love another baby. We were on the patch, not even trying. How early can you detect heartbeat? I am scared because of the bleeding. Plus no normal pregnancy symptoms. No sick to stomach or sore boobs. Just really tired and have to pee a lot. Is that normal? The bleeding and lack of symptoms freaks me out? Is there any hope?

Lisa,

Sometimees in pregnancies alot of women don't experience any symptoms at all or just a few. It is commom to not have any sickness or sore boobs. I'm sure you'll be fine and I'm sure that you don't want any sickness or sore boobs:) Just be sure that the bleeding stays light and does not turn into tissue or clots.

Lisa - June 23rd, 2005 5:53 PM

April, thanks for the reassurance. The bleeding has stayed light over the past three or four days, after being heavy for one or two. No clots or tissue. I am just really anxious waiting for the results from the second blood test. I get the results this evening. It is the not knowing that is driving me crazy. We want this baby and it could be weeks before we know whether it is viable or not. It has been such a roller coaster. Thanks.

Lisa, I agree with you, the not knowing what is going on is what's killing me too. I had a miscarriage early this year and I don't want that to happen. But now all I can do is to wait for the results of all 3 blood tests next week. :( I don't have much pregnancy symptoms too, do feel a little queasy at times and boobs are a little swollen. This morning, I had my first spell of so-called morning sickness and I was so happy!!!! And I was kinda hoping for more to come back......

I got good news this morning. My numbers doubled from 3900 to 7711. Very excited. But still spotting which is making me nervous. I go in for another blood test on Monday and then another ultrasound next Friday. How early can you see a heartbeat? I think I will be about 7 weeks next Friday. Still scared, but reassured by the numbers. Would the numbers double if it was a blighted ovum? April and Cyn, thanks for the posting responses. It makes me feel a little better to know that not everyone has all of the "regular" symptoms. Thanks again.

Cyn - June 24th, 2005 12:32 PM

Congratulations Lisa! That's very good, positive & reassuring news! By Week 7, the u/s should be able to detect the heartbeat. Best of luck and let us know what's happening. I am going for my "blood donation" now..:)

Lisa - June 24th, 2005 12:39 PM

Thanks Cyn. We are very excited. Let us know when you get the results from your blood work!! Good luck!!

Lisa,

That is some awesome news, at least for one of us. I miscarried on Thursday and it was awful. I was kind of hoping that I wouldn't miscarry because we both wanted a little girl. But, it's okay because we have plenty of time to try again. Well, Lisa, the only thing I can say is good luck and congratulations. Oh and one other thing, an u/s does not always pick up the baby's heartbeat because I had one and I was 7 weeks pregnant. They only pick up on the pregnancy, but it still may be a little too early to detect a heartbeat.

Cyn - June 27th, 2005 5:27 PM

My gynae office just called me with some awful news. My hcg levels are rising but not rising high enough and she wants to give me pills to miscarry. But I am going in for an ultraound tomorrow to make sure first. Right now, I feel so sad. sob..sob This will be my second m/c in a year if it really happens. :(

Lisa - June 27th, 2005 5:42 PM

Cyn, I would suggest not letting them rush you into taking anything until they are totally sure. I have heard lots of stories where the levels don't rise like they are "supposed to" and the pregnancy turns out just fine. Wait for the u/s.

Cyn - June 27th, 2005 6:03 PM

Thanks Lisa, that's what I am hoping for that it is a misdiagnosis. Calling my sis-in-law (a doc.) later to see what she thinks of the numbers.

Amy - June 27th, 2005 6:33 PM

Lisa don't let them rush you at all you never know what can happen

Amy - June 27th, 2005 6:34 PM

Sorry i not lisa CYN

Cyn - June 27th, 2005 7:07 PM

Thank you Lisa & Amy. Though I am trying to keep myself positive, I can't help feeling so sad after the news.
