P.S. by the way, I know that all pregnancy's are different, but anyone who needs some hope and comfort reading should go to www.misdiagnosedmiscarriages.com

Britney- In Japan right now (but from the states).. lol.. also, on my last pregnancy that I miscarried, I had every pregnancy symptom imaginable... On my current pregnancy, I hardly had any symptom until the 2nd trimester. Never got sick, nothing!! and I am now 26 weeks... So, each pregnancy is different and so is the way your body reacts to it. Don't stress too much on that. Your also not very far along at all, so it might catch up to you later. hehehe... Also, I have a good feeling on your next scan as well.. I wouldn't look to much into that ultrasound pic.. there are so many things that could look like something. Just give it to your next one and you should definitely see something by then. Each week makes such a difference. :)

Japan?? Wow! how on earth did you land up there? Do they have good health care there? anayways, good to know that you also didn't have symptoms-gee, its crazy that i just randomly found this person who has my same crazy periods and all! i guess you could call it providence.... anyways, i'm leaving in 20 minutes for my apointment (ITS 8:15 AM over here) so wish me luck! i'll keep you posted

Daniella - January 30th, 2006 1:18 AM

Britney- well, in the military, so I still have US health care. Just the hospital on base. I couldn't imagine having a baby in the Japanese hospitals. They have way different procedures due to the different culture. Heck they have tatami mats (on the floor) that you give birth on. Plus they don't believe in pain medicine. Not that I plan nor hope to get any, but its nice that its an option for us. Anyhow, can't wait to hear how your appt. went. I am praying for you!!! Good luck!!

Hi. well. i'm back from my appointment and its a loooong story, but here goes: once again, the doc couldn't really see anything exept for something very small that he said was to small to be healthy for my hcg level. he was really worried that it was outside my uterus so he sent me to the E.R to have a u/s with a higher tech machine. I went there and they saw not one, not two but THREE things that they think are tiny sacs! they are about two mm each, so they are still not sure if they are actually pregnancy sacs, but its a good chance that i'm carrying more than one, and i'm just really really early! The more the merrier, i guess! but we're still not sure, so of course, i had another hcg test today and i have to go for another u/s next week. So thats the story....crazy (lol) :)

Daniella - January 30th, 2006 6:00 AM

Well Britney- hopefully they see something (more) in the next one. Thats good that your dr. sent you to the actually tech to do it. That is their profession.. Plus, sounds like your dr. wanted to find out where the heck it is so you don't have an ectopic. Anyhow, hopefully your numbers get much higher then, and at least one of them finally shows up. lol.. well, even though, its not the best of news.. its surely not bad news either... Just patiences is a virtue and right now, its gotta be killing you. lol... I have a good feeling on your next scan. How long ago did you have your very first positive pregnancy test now??

Britney - January 30th, 2006 8:24 AM

Hi all.... i just got my hcg back...and its only 10114 (from 7022 on thursday), so i don't know whats happening. Both the docs i had today weren't terribly concerned about the doubling as they were about them just generally still going up, so i don't know what to think. and now i have to wait a week for my next appointment and i start finals next week! this really sucks!oh, Daniella, my very first positive pregnancy test was on the 8th of january, and the next day my hcg was 45.

Daniella - January 30th, 2006 8:32 AM

Britney.. heres the thing though.. if you only had one gestational sac and your numbers weren't doubling, then thats not a good sign.. BUT, since they seen 3 tiny ones in there... then maybe say one or 2 isn't making it and that is why its not doubling... yet, one could be just fine. You can't really go by your HCG anymore, if its not a single.. because the HCG may drop from the one and still rise from the other.. does that make sense?? Just have to wait on the next ultrasound. YOu never know. I would think that if you had a positive test on Jan. 8th, you should have seen the sac easily, but hey... maybe you did just catch it REAL early and you never know!!! Try not to stress too much and try and stay focused on your work.. I know, easier said then done... but, you have to stay strong!! Good luck on your next scan in a week. you should surely see something by then.

Britney - January 31st, 2006 3:30 AM

Thanks so much for all the positivity, Daniella. You really don't know how much it's helped me through this extremely confusing time!! I;m actually feeling a lot more ralxed now-sort of like i'm prepared for whatever will come. when i was with my first doc yesterday, he told me that since he couldn't see anything, it probably was in the tube and told me not to eat anything cos i might be having surgery soon, and i barely flinched. You just have to be prepared for whatever comes cos you never know with these things. so i don't think the wait will be that bad. Wish me luck for exams!

I had a question.... I have been having an uncomfortable cramp in my right side like where my ovary or tube is, should I worry? Im not bleeding anymore, and its not like sharp pain. Its more uncomfortable than painful. Is this a symptom of ectopic? Is this how ectopic feels in the beginning? Should I go spend 5 hours in the ER or wait til I see a private doc?

Jeanette - February 1st, 2006 3:01 PM

I have a question. I have been having an uncomfortable mild cramp in my right side where my tube or ovary would be. Its not painful but uncomfortable. Im not bleeding anymore. Should I go to the ER? Does it sound like ectopic? I only notice the discomfort when I pay attention to it. But if I am watching an interesting movie I forget all about it. What should I do?

Jeanette - February 1st, 2006 3:03 PM

Sorry I posted the same thing twice, it didnt show that it post the first time.

Daniella - February 1st, 2006 3:29 PM

Jeanette- hey, I'll tell you what... I had horrible pains with my current pregnancy that I am now 26 weeks, in the very beginning. I had a prior ectopic, so I was freaking out it was another.. heck, even after we seen it in the uterus, I was afraid there might be another one in the tube... BUT, the fact is this.. when you release an egg from ovulation, and that egg gets fertilized... your ovary that you released it from starts working in overdrive to provide those wonderful pregnancy hormones. Which causes cyst on that ovary quite frequently during a pregnancy. Anyhow, it is VERY normal to have some discomfort on the one side (or even sometimes, both)... its almost always your ovary and not the tube... but, just keep your eyes open and if it gets real bad.. then go to the ER.. Otherwise, they'll just tell you that its normal. Mine started easing at about 10 weeks. lol... baby starts producing its own hormones about then, and fully makes its own at 12 weeks... (which is when you can stop the progesterone supplements)... :) good luck!!

Britney - February 2nd, 2006 4:43 AM

Jeanette- i wrote an identical post a few posts up. pretty much the same symptoms and thay disapeared after about a week. You really only need to worry if its really painful and with bleeding. good luck.
