My husband and I have been ttc for 4 yrs. We've been to drs, etc., ...long story. He was recently prescribed the drug methotrexate. For about 1 yr now we have stopped timing, charting, all that. Just so happens that I am late and having all the symptoms of pregnancy. The dr. told my husband not to try and get me pregnant because it can cause birth defects. We just didn't think it would happen after trying for so long, so we didn't protect ourselves. What if I'm preg? I don't know what to do or think.

Oh I hope you are pregnant!!!!! How stupid of your hubby's doc to say that he can cause birth defects due to the methotrexate. What a stupid quack! There is no evidence that when a man takes it, it could cause defects in the offspring. Have you taken a pregnancy test!?!?! If you are pregnant, don't worry, all is good!!!!!!

I am 7 days late and have taken 2 tests, both negative. I want this so bad. I have not felt like this, ever... I have all the signs. If I am pregnant, when will it show on a home test, or should I call the doctor? Please, I need advice?

Hi gigngy, I was wondering if you were pregnant and if so did you have a healthy baby,as I have found myself in the same situation as you and I am terribly upset to think that my baby may have birth defects,please let me know what you experienced
