I am so sorry for your loss. I have never heard of a cornual ectopic pregnancy either. As I posted earlier, I had an ectopic pregnancy, but the dr. says the baby was growing in my ovary. My guess is that there's a problem with my tubes (blockage or something).

I also felt empty inside after my loss, and that is to be expected. It's sad to say, but I felt like no one in the world could have felt like I did when the dr. said that I had to have that shot to make the baby stop growing. Even to this day, I still feel pain. I guess that's why I am so eager to get pregnant. But, I have not had any luck.

I actually started bleeding before the shot, because of the ectopic. That's what alerted the dr. to do blood tests and a vaginal/pelvic ultrasound. I remember after that, I asked the nurse if I could go out the back door because I was a mess, once I found out and I didn't want all those happy Moms-to-be that were sitting in the waiting room to see me crying uncontrollably.

Hopefully you won't bleed for long and the pain will subside soon. You will always hold a special place in your heart and soul for your unborn baby. You are not alone. Anytime you want to talk, just send a message. This is a good form of therapy...at least it is for me.

how long has it been since you took the shot? Have you been trying for a baby for a very long time? Do you have kids already?:) I dont have abny children yet, i want to, so bad.. but i guess we dont always get what we want ..when we want it.
I was hoping i get better now, relax, snowboard a little and try to get pregnant again..Dr called today, my HCG is gone down to 5.000 and something, i have another blood test tomorrow and i have a Dr's appointment on Thursday. I still bleed, but its little, last night i actually slept without taking any pain killers.. i really hope i get better soon, and get down to work , lol.. I found out I was pregnant on October 2nd and on October 8th, I found out it was ectopic and had the shot the same day. A baby is the only thing that has been missing in me an my husband's lives, since we both had a child of our own from previous relationships. I so desperately want to have another baby. My daughter is almost 16. I have not been able to get pregnant for some reason since then, until October 2007. It was a total shock for all of us, because I actually thought that I couldn't even get pregnant since we had not used protection since we have been together. I have never taken birth control or anything.

know that since you said you don;t have any kids now, you really want to have one. That can be tough, but keep having faith that your day will come soon. I am praying for you so that your body, soul and mind can heal after going through this ordeal. I keep having the same questions in my head right now as to whether or not the same thing will happen when I get pregnant again. I do not want to ever go through that again. You will make it, and so will I. I wish you the best during your Dr. visit and blood tests. Be sure to write down any questions you are thinking of right now and ask your dr. I made an appt with another dr. I am hoping to have the test done with the dye to see if my tubes are blocked. Wish me luck!

I ended up having a surgery, on February, 21, the HCG was going down steady, but after my first metho shot, the sac actually grew and it never went down. I was at risk of rupturing and on Feb, 21st, i ended up in surgery. It was hard to recover, i lost almost 2 liters of blood during the laparoscopy , thank GOD and my doctors, i still have my tubes and everything, the surgery was successful. Now almost 3 months after the surgery and almost 4 months since my metho shot, i am suspecting i might be pregnant and i have not stopped freaking out for the last few days.. Still havent done HSG, as my doctor wanted me to do after my 3rd period since the laparoscopy, and i am really scared, becuase i have 4 stitches on my uterus.. Has anyone gotten pregnant sooner that the Dr recommended? Especially after surgery?

galiondi, how is it going? are you pregnant? update when you can..I am still ttc after the metho and the hsg in January. Not pregnant yet. hope to be very soon...

Hey Kristin72 :) I am 5 days late, my period is still "debating", lol I have had some weird pains for 3 weeks now and like 10 days ago i noticed i have Montgomery tubercules on my breasts, around the niples. I took a test 2 days before the date of my expected period, it was negative. Im still late though, so maybe i will take another test in about 2-3 days. We are buying a house and everything is so hectic, i havent had much time to think about me being late..my husband says, with our "luck" we are most likely pregnant. lol I will keep you all posted :) Have a great time ttc-ing

I received a metho shot on 03/29/08 and now suspecting that I might be pregnant. I'm so scared because I was told not to get pregnant for 3 months. I was on the pill but I gained so much weight after 2 months that I went off it. What do I do? I will forever be blaming myself if there's something wrong with the baby.

Alia,You will be fine..and what's done is done..Many women conceive successfully with no problems even after the metho. The metho is suppose to leave your body within48 hours. Are you taking prenatals..if you are not make sure you get your folic acid asap becasue it is the folic acid that is depleted wit metho...you should be fine...have you had a pregnancy test? I am on cd12 have done my bding cd7,8,10,11. And hopefully again tonight..the dh is away this weekend and that is when I would normally ovulate..hope enough bd'ing b4 he leaves. Hello, I have a question for everyone. My levels were really low at the highest they were 183 and I also had the shot. My hcg levels are now 92 and our Dr. told us once they get to 0 we are okay to start trying again. I have to get blood taken every monday to see where I stand. Any success stories on getting pregnant after this situation. All I have seen on here is no one getting pregnant? Please give me hope guys!

I am at the same arena as Melissa. I have been given methotraxate shot on July 5th, my hcg was going down after that but as with the bleeding I also got a severe pain on 21st July and had a labroscopy and needed to remove my right tube due to it's being ruptured. My bleeding stopped after the 4th day of the surgery. No doctor visit yet,next week I have a visit with him. After that I may know how long I need to wait. Frankly speaking I have one daughter and had not that craving for a baby but after loosing one for ectopic now I am longing so much for a baby. I also have no idea when it's safe to try again. Wish all of you all my bests.

i have a question.. i just had a methotrexate abortion and the bleeding has just stopped int he last couple days.. its been a week and a half since i got the shot and now i think its done. but in the heat of the moment my boyfriend entered me without a condom on and it was in there for maybe 30 seconds before i jumped off realizing the chances. I am wondering what the likley hood of my getting pregnant again will be? i'm stressing. thank you

Hi Everyone - I'm so glad i found this thread! its so easy to think you are the only person who has been through this! I found out I was pregnant just ove a month ago - it was early days only about 5 weeks but straight away I was concious that it may be ectopic because an ex long term partner of mine had given me clymydia which i had carried for approximatly 2 years, my doctor said not to worry as ectopic pregnancies where very rare regardless of my history. 2 days later i started getting niggleing pains in the right side of my lower abdomon and bleeding, after a scan they saw no evidence of a pregnancy in my uterus but some questionable fluid on my right falopian tube but would still not listen when i told then i felt it was an ectopic after a week of HCGs and an excruciatingly painfil cell scrape of my womb they finally said it was more than likely an ectopic. I had the first shot of Metho and my HCGs went from 150 to 450!! the second shot seems to have worked though but i am so scared of it happening again - it has been by far the worst experience ever - im just so happy that i didnt have to have a tube removed,
I am so desperate to be a mother, all of my friends have children and want that so badly - has anyone got pregnant naturally the 2nd time around with damaged tubes? i have not had tests on my tubes as yet so do not know the extent of the damage.

Lynda.. I think Im in the same boat as you! I found out on October 29 that I was pregnant, 4 weeks judging by my LMP. I started spotting then bleeding with period-like cramps on Nov 3 and 4th, and when I went to the doctor he said he thinks it was an early miscarriage or ectopic bc ultrasound showed nothing! Got my HCG back the next day and only a 98, 2 days later they were at a 96 (dr. suspects ectopic) four days after that only a 78 (going down too slow) My ex long term boyfriend decided to cheat on me 5 years ago and gave me chlamydia (had it 8 months to a year) so I'm positive thats why I'm going thru this now, and even though Dr cant confirm it I suspect it is ectopic even though I had no extreme pain. Dr. never diagnosed or treated me for PID but have been reading up on it nd pray to God I haven't had it undiagnosed messing things up even more for the past 5 years. This was my first pregnancy (3 months after coming off the pill) so I don't think my Dr. is going to look into it unless it happens again. I am going on Thurs for the methodrexate injection (since my level was at a 78 and probably a lil lower now he thinks one dose will do the trick). Are you going to try to get more tests done to see if the chlamydia caused it??? Let me know, and ill def do the same! My fiance is in the military and gone until January so I hope 1 injection does the trick and I don't have to go back on the pill to wait!! Sorry for rambling on but I never thought that this would come back to haunt me. I pray we both become pregnant soon, and everyone else who is trying also!

hi, christina1026 , I am definatly going to get checked out in about 8 weeks when i have had a normal period and i know things are ticking over properly - I really want a family but cannot go through this again, it has been the worst 2 months of my life. If things are too scarred and blocked I am a prime candidate for IVF so you must demand you get the tests, its so important! (are you in the uk?) I am back to my old self now after the 2nd injection, stopped bleeding 2 days ago, back at work and trying to get on with things (apart from my extreen jealously of any one pregnant or with a new born!! but im sure this will pass). my hormone went right up to 400 so im sure yout metho will work hun, its hard and you will feel pain and sickness, then there is the not getting pregnant for 3 months side but its better than the alternative! let me know how it goes - its so good to be able to speak with people who actually understand, my friends and partner have been amazing but they still dont quite get it! please email me if you need to talk - my address is lyndilou1981 at hotmail dot co dot uk
