Mucus Plug, Dilating Anyone??

I am almost to my 13th week and over the last 3 days, I believe I have lost my mucus plug. I know that 13 weeks is extremely early but I am 98% positive that is what it was. Has anyone else lost their plug early and still had a normal pregnancy? I have had 7 miscarriages over the last 4 years and I am worried. Is there any way for me to check myself to see if I am dilating? When I called the doctor, he just dismissed my concern. I know what it was, I have actually given birth before (twice) and have seen my mucus plug. I don't know what else to do, other than check myself and walk in to the doctor's with my "evidence". I have had mild cramping (kind of like when you stretch out you calf muscles), and diarrhea (TMI sorry). ANY ONE have any thoughts??? PLEASE?
