OBGYNs Please Help! Is My Girlfriend Having A Miscarriage?

ok, 6-7 weeks ago my girlfriend had to take the morning after pill because a condom broke. her period started on the 16th of july and continued for about a week. during this time she started taking the progesterone only birth control pill. We also used condoms, but today is the 17th of august and she has tested positive for being pregnant using a home pregnancy test. for a little over a week now she has had some bleeding, less than her period but still a substantial amount and severe lower abdominal pain on her left side. does this mean she is having a miscarriage?

worriedguy I would tell your girlfriend to go to her doctor as soon as she can. I just got back home from having an etopic preganancy and had similar symptoms. I was bleeding less than my period but none the less was bleeding and had pains in my lower abdominal area on the left side as well. I did not go to the emergency room until the pains got severe and that is when they found out. So my advice to you is to have your girlfriend go to her ob to make sure everything is ok.
