I am 8 weeks pregnanct and my gynae found an 18mm blood clot. He it was caused due to insufficient levels of progesterone and has put me on the hormone for the next 4 weeks. This will help it either be reabsorbed or bleed out. I have a check up in 2 weeks. I guess it depends on the size of the blood clot, so perhaps that is why you are not being treated for it. If it is still there or has grown, perhaps ask about treatment as otherwise my Dr said it could lead to miscarriage. I have been trying to find info on the net but haven't been able to confirm this. (For my own peace of mind)

I was bleeding from May 17th(6weeks) until the 1st week of July and the baby survived. I also had a blood clot, the doctor said it will either be "kicked" out by the baby, or the placenta would rip itself out because of the clot. It is a very emotionally exhausting experience, but take it easy, follow your doctors instructions and hope for the best. I am 21 weeks now, and still hoping for the best, but no bleeding. At first it was bright red, then darker, then it came out completely brown, that was the sign it was coming out. Keep the faith, girl. It is still hard, my emotions are of so much confusion because of it, and I am still afraid, but at least I am not worrying about seeing blood and losing my baby.
