please help, it is my 1st time being pregnant...
2 weeks ago i underwent a laporoscopy as i have been having a lot of bowel problems, i have been on lots of different medication, and only found out i was 7 weeks pregnant 5 days ago..... i was taken to hospital 3 days ago as i have a lot of pain in my right hand side, and is even more painful when i touch this... i had an ultrasound and they said everything was ok.....
im just gettin really concerned as ive been reading about this and im not sure if im being paranoid, or if this pain is due to the laporoscopy (just i though that pain would have got better).....
i basically want to know if anyone knows the danger zones when eptopic pregnancy's become fatal (i.e 9 weeks or more) and if backpain is normal in the early stages of pregnancy...

hi-i had an ectopic earlier on this year, but each timei went for a u/s, they saw an empty uterus. What do you mean by they said everything was okay?-did they see a pregnancy sac in your uterus? that makes a big difference. if it was empty, i say go right away to the er. if they saw a sac inside, youre almost for sure not ectopic. Sometimes, there can be one in the uterus and one in the tubes, but thats extremely rare. In any case, i woould get the pains checked out, wether they saw a sac inside or not. Good Luck!

hi thanks, they saw a tiny sak in the uterous, but couldnt tell me wot the pains were. its scary business this!
ive phoned the hospital to c if the pains could be due to the laporoscopy, but they said no! so im gettin a bit nervy now!

is it normal to get back ache so early on in pregnancy?

hi mushy you could have a cyst or something. I had lots of pain in my right sidee too early on and it turned out i had a large cyst on my ovary from when I ovulated but now its going away on its own. most ectopics don't make it past 6 weeks anyway because by that time the baby is big enough to burst the tube so unless you are having really intense pain, bleeding, or shoulder pain i wouldn't worry too much about taht right now.

I have had a previous ectopic pregnancy and the doctor told me that around 6 - 8 weeks is the danger zone. Any later and you would know about it. If you have had an ultrasound and it shows the baby is in the womb and not in the tube then you are fine
