Empty Sac

i went to my dr he said i was 6 week pregnant and send me to do an ultrsound it show that the uterus contain a 8mm gestational sac which stated that i am 4-5week pregnant but was ask to return a week later to have a vaginal san when i did it the sac was empty. i am to return on friday to do a next one i am so scar because i am 29 and it is m,y first child.

As I just posted on another thread, I've seen many posts where people have stated they've had an u/s at six wks and all they've seen is the sac.. it's hard to see the lil dot on the grainy screen that is your baby. They also report that 2wks later, they see their lil guy/girl and the heart beat. I'm only 5wks but I'm preparing to only see a sac when I go at 6wks.

When I was 4 weeks 5 days a u/s showed nothing no sacs, nada! 2 weeks later at 6 weeks 5 days everything was visible and the baby measured 3 days smaller. u/s can be off anywhere from 5-7 days so the baby can be in there but too small to pick up. Also you could have ovulated late and/or implanted late too.
