Do you mean an incompentent cervix? One that is too weak to hold the baby and needs a stitch?

I don't know much about it. Do you have any reason to think that you have it as it isn't hugely common and is usually only diagnosed by a premature birth.

Hello, I have that problem. I lost my first baby at 19 weeks because I did not know about it prior. I am now 30 weeks because I had to have the stitch put in. If you are worried about it, talk to your doctor. Have them check your cervix as often as possible. And if, by any chance you lose your mucus plug or have any bleeding, go to the hospital as soon as possible. I wish all the luck in the world though

Bailey- Hi although i have never suffered from this i believe it's called an incompetent cervix-I may be wrong. My friends mother had this condition when she was pregnant with her twins and there was difinative signs. I believe she was bleeding and her cervix was opening early. the Doctor was able to detect this though and she had to have her cervix stitched closed tight so she woudn't lose her pregnancy and it worked fine for her. the twins are three!! :)

Thanks EVERYONE! ! I dunno I started to spot at 12 weeks and stoped at around 14 ( Im 15 weeks today) and I went to the doctor 2 times he said that he could find a reason for it... looked at my cervix and the baby on an ultra sound! I been having alot of discharge ( always scared its the mucus plug) also been having this shrap pain in my cervix... the doc doesn't seem to be worried he says the chances are very slim.... but sometimes I think doctors don't know what the are talking about( hehe)... So my next appt is on the 7th ( 3 weeks and counting) I'll be 17 1/2 weeks...I DON'T THINK I CAN WAIT THAT LONG! I swear I am driving myself crazy! : /
