It's only been about 2 weeks since possible conception but i've had cramps in my lower left abdomin for a few days now. I'm very sleepy and have had headaches everyday. Is it to early to feel these things if I am pregnant. Wishful thinkg maybe...Going to the dr tomorrow. if anyway can taell me how early they felt cramping that would help.

Eve Atley - September 20th, 2004 5:12 PM

I'm 33. I am also getting mild cramping like most of you gals, no sign of period yet, very tired, and mild headaches. I have a very light tension (not quite a pain) in the back of my throat, and my legs ache. My period usually is about 27 days, with my last period being August 23rd, 2004, setting me about 29 days. I have not tested yet. Is it best to test now, or wait a few more days?

I am about 4 weeks pregnant and have been having a heavy feeling in my abdomen..mostly on left side. It is very nagging..not really painful. It can also be felt all the way up left side of my back as well. My first child passed away at 9 months old 2 years ago..and I just really want this baby and hope all is well. Good luck to the other moms as well!

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and also having cramping. Sometimes mild other times sharp and short, my dr doesn't want me to come in for my first visit until i'm 9 weeks? Doesn't that seem long to wait for your first visit? I had a miscarriage last year at 8 weeks and they said the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks. Anyone have this happen?

Cheryl - September 26th, 2004 4:22 PM

To Tiffany
I think some Drs don't see pregnant women until 9-10 weeks because they feel if you're going to miscarry in that time, it's inevitable. However, since you miscarried and are concerned, they should at least draw blood to give you some reassurances. I had a Dr. like that and after 2 consecutive miscarriages before she would even see me (and after one of the miscarriages didn't even want to see me after it happened), I moved on to a different dr. I'm currently 7 1/2 weeks and have had blood drawn several times and have already had 2 ultrasounds--and I've seen the heart beating. It is very reassuring and exciting to have a Dr. who cares!

i went to my doc after getting a positive pregnancy test. i was unsure of my last period, but guessed. doc said based on guess i am 5+ weeks. i had u/s and it showed a sac but no baby yet. they said this is normal. however i have been having mild cramps in lower abdomon for the last week. i do not have any bleeding with it. my doc told me that my progesterone was low and put me on a supplement. i had a misscarage about a year ago and have been trying to get pregnant for 2 years. i feel so stressed out and worried that i am having yet another misscarage. can anyone please help ease my mind!!!!!!! i think i will go nuts by the end of this! my doctor is a man of very few words, so i'm not sure what is really going on!! if anyone can help me please do!

I was told if any blood or discharge I should go to doctor cramps are ok as long as they are not with blood or discharge. Just something that was told to me by my doctor.

thanks to all those who have posted their experiences. my wife and i just went in for 2nd US after getting an iffy prognosis at our first. my wife was having mild cramping, no bleeding or discharge and sporadic morning sickness, breast tenderness.
well, long story short we were at 7 weeks 5 days today with a visible fetal pole and a strong heartbeat...yay!!! all this after the doctor scared us by telling us our hcg levels were not doubling as they should be(55,000 last week) and that the growth was small for the day count. the US tech. told us to make sure US's are taken on an empty bladder, due to a full bladders interference in the US. she said this is prob. the reason for the iffy reading last week. good luck and god bless to all, hang in there!

I am experiencing light cramping in my lower abdomen. I had an IUI done 5 days ago.. Am I losing my mind or just hoping to much? Just looking for a little relief. Please if anyone has any ideas to this, please respond. I am not supposed to test until day 14.

Alisha - October 1st, 2004 11:31 PM

I am so thankful to hear everyone's questions and concerns. I feel like I am driving myself crazy. I am almost six weeks pregnant and have been having cramps and lower back pain. Today, I started spotting a brownish pink discharge. I have had two miscarriages already, the last at 13 weeks, and I am so scared I am going to miscarry again. Reading all of your posts makes me hopeful until I can see my doctor next week. Thank you to all of you and my God and his angels protect your unborn children.

It very pleasing to know that I am not the only one experiencing this cramping period sensation. I was very nervous because its farther down. I have had an etopic pregnancy and 2 miscarriages before BUT, even during those times...I never experienced cramping before. I've learned to stop worrying and put all your faith in a higher being. Worrying only makes the situation worst so stop it!! I pray that God watches over all of us and CONGRATS!!!

My hubby and I hv been trying for 2 yrs. After our first treatment of Chlomid, we finally got pregnant! I am about 7.5 wks, and i was so relieved to find this website (what a blessing!). I am also experiencing period-like cramping, mild back pain, and a pulling sensation on either side. You all hv helped me so much, b/c my dr. doesn't see you until week 12. Best of luck to you all and God bless!!!!!!!
