I went to the dr and was told that there is no heart beat and there seems to be lack of blood flow. If i figured correct. I should maybe only be 4 1/2 wks along. My doctor told me to go home and I would miscarry in the next couple days(it would be like having a period). I do have some cramping, but no bleeding and I'm very confused. IS it too early to dectect the fetus? the doctor said that the fetus was only 1 to 2 cm. what should I do? should I wait 2 wks and if there is no bleeding get a second opinion? The doctor did not do a blood test or anything like that,, heck ,he didn't even tell me how far along he thought I was. I'm not sure if I should be mourning the loss of my baby or trying to stay calm and stress free?

I don't know about blood flow, but yes, 4.5 weeks is too early to detect a heartbeat. Typically, you will only see a sac at this time- no fetal pole either. I would wait it out the two weeks and have another ultrasound. May want to see if you can get a second opinion too. I hope it all works out & your baby is ok.
