My daughter-in-law in China has been given three 1000unit ampoules of hcg following spotting on the day her period would normally have occurred. She has had an ultrasoind and the fetus is 50 days old.I have spoken to our family doctor in Ottawa, Canada and she is mystified as to why this would have been prescribed.
