I go next week for my 6 week pp check up. What should I expect? Also, when do you finally stop bleeding. I'm very light, but does it ever end?

I stopped bleeding at about 3 and 1/2 weeks postpartum, but started bleeding around 6 weeks pp for about 13 days. I haven't had any bleeding / my period since *knock on wood* thanks to breastfeeding. At my 6 week appt they did a pelvic exam, pap smear, asked how I was feeling and how my stitches healed up from my episiotomy, and they talked to me about birth control (if I wanted to go on the pill/what was I using, etc). The doc asked if I had any questions and I was on my way. :) The best way to get the bleeding to stop is to follow the guidelines they tell you! I was taking 2 mile walks 2 weeks pp and was fine so when I was moving furniture at 6 weeks postpartum I didn't think it was a big deal, then I bled for another 2 weeks.

I had my check on tuesday, everything was fine. Doc just felt my tummy and examined internally. It was over and done with in a minute or so, they just check the area if you have any stitches and ask about birth control.
