I gave natural birth 6 weeks ago and had an episiotomy. I have been having this peristent pain ever since. It is hard to describe... SORRyY for TOO much info... the pain exists between my butt crease and hole. I especially feel the pain when I attempt to get into sitting position. While sitting on the toilet, the pain travels towards my vagina. Its really weird. I am not bleeding nor do I have any bumps and the stitches seem to have healed well, thererfore, I am ruling out hemmoroids (spelling). What could this possibly be? Just mere pain from pushing? Has anyone experienced anything like this? It is bearable but something I have never felt before.

Actually my OBGYN said that it was a bone that was most probably hurt during delivery due to my positioning. Even now, the pain is positional, it has gotten better.

hey i have the same problem! i had a vaginal birth too and although i didn't have an episiotomy, i did tear, almost all the way in the exact same spot an episiotomy would be given...it hurts more in certain positions while sitting....i kinda have to sit to the side of my butt cheek..sorry if too much info....i gave birth only 2 weeks ago tho so i dunno what it is or how much longer it will last, as r u i have also ruled out hemmoroids (correct spelling?) i will have to ask my doc or gyno wat it is unless u have foud out already?

My Dr. said I most likely hurt my tail bone. My DD will be 12 weeks Friday and the pain has lessened much, however I still get it occassionally depending on my position. She said that I may need PT if it doewnt get better, but it has improved so I guess time will do the trick - good luck.
