I have a history of depersonalization. It creeps up on me after life changing events. This time it is much worse because I also have the raging baby hormones. It started when my baby was 4 months old. I am currently taking an SSRI and meeting with a Psychologist which seems to be helping a bit. Can anyone relate? Any advise?

ive had periods of this before my baby from post traumatic stress after losing both parents in a short time. medications made it MUCH worse, i dont know if they just didnt find the right kind of what but i was like a robot and felt irritable and angry, they could have kept trying but i gave up. the therapy helped a lot. i did eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), its kind of controversial because some think it works and some think it doesnt...but i think it really depends on the person, just like all therapy. it really helped me and i cant even explain how it worked but it was like a miracle! the hormones are probably a lot of the reason for it reappearing too...are you breastfeeding? just stopped breastfeeding? taking birth control? those may affect your hormone levels also.
