Has anyone gotten the Mirena (IUD) for birth control? I have it, and haven't had any complications. The only thing is--I haven't had a period since Jan. 2007 (before I got pregnant w/ Owen) So... how am I supposed to know if I do accidently get pregnant? See, the Mirena, from how I understood my OB to explain it, simply blocks your tubes so that no semen can enter and fertilize an egg. Well, I KNOW I am ovulating, even though I haven't had a period. My husband thought I was just paranoid, so I bought an ovulation predictor kit, and sure enough I ovulate every month. My BBT also indicates that. I am just really worried that if this Mirena is not perfectly placed, I will get pregnant again. (It's too dang expensive for it not to work, or for me to use a back up method).... Anyway.... what, if any results have you had with it... or any IUD for that matter..?
