First Baby, Please Help..

I had my daughter december 1 so just over 2 weeks ago. I am no longer bleeding but i have an brownish discharge, and an bad smell off and on. I was wondering how long this discharge will last and what the smell could be. I did not tear at all during delivery but the thingy that they use for your urine was put in and not put in far enough so a nurse had pushed it in further, and then we noticed blood. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it. Please help.

i had my first baby december 1st to!! How weird! Sorry i don't have a real answer,i am clueless. i just thought that was neat :)

You may want to call your doctor. It could be an infection.

Browish discharge is completely normal if the bleeding has settled from the actual birth but the smell signifys a possible infection that needs to be treated. I assume you mean you had a catheter for them to drain your bladder? She could have aggravated things but that wouldn't be causing the smell in the discharge. A simple course of anti-biotics should clear everything up.Congratulations on the baby!
