i waited the 6 weeks afterwards, i had a second degree small tear that required only a few stiches. it didnt hurt at all..it just felt a lot tighter at first gettin but after that it was fine.

With my last DD I wiated 4 weeks after birth.

I gave in to my husband after 4 week and I had a tiny tear that had healed but I was not comfortable and then we waited til almost 8 weeks postpartum - it didn't feel the same for me for a few months and because my tear was up by my urethra I didnt' achieve orgasm for a good 6 months after -just be careful and don't rush...I mean if you are really looking forward to it go for it but listen to your body! You go girl! lol

girl, i was the one who couldnt wait...lol of course me and james are freaks so we already had all kinds of lube.... which you may need..btw. it was a bit uncomfortable for me each time its gets a bit better he says its different, which makes me feel good cause to me she had a huge head,,lol just be careful and stop if it hurts is what my doc said... ttyl

i hear alot of women say that it is tighter after the stitches heal, why is that?? my hubby says that from his experience with women it is very loose after they have a vaginal birth. does anyone know?

i dont know but with me it feels tighter...but i think maybe just from the stitches? im curious why too!

my husband said he can't believe I had 2 kids vaginally cuz I am as tight as a 16 year old so I guess we are freaks too....LOL

Yah, so I ended up giving in to my crazy hormones at 2 wks, LOL. It all went fine though and at my appt my doc said that my stitches and everything healed great, so I guess it didn't do any damage. I'm a lot tighter now too.. 2 vaginal births later and my cooch is tighter than before both births, LOL..Crazy how that works.

LOL Cors1, Ithought I would be screwed after this birth because he was 8+ lbs with a 15in head, but all is good.. You'll be fine! And sex after a vaginal birth isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I heard terrible things, but WHEW...
