Is it normal to be really swollen 4 days after delivery? My legs and feet or soooo swollen. They are more swollen now then when I was pregnant. I was just wondering if that was normal?

It is normal, I was so freaking swollen, even my hips! SOOOOOOO SWOLLEN! My ddoc finally gave me water pills after 8 days, it was crazy, i could barely walk

yes totally normal! my feet were like oven mitts & when dh rubbed them a few times... it went down halfway! i recommend foot rubs if your feet are swollen. it pushes the water back.

It's unfortunately normal. I had developed pre-eclampsia and was on hospital bed rest with an absolutely gross amount of swelling (up to mid thighs, face, hands). I couldn't wait for the swelling to go down but it got worse just as I was about to leave the hospital. Drink more water and try to keep moving -- they'll go down in a few days or so.

I was sooooooo puffy! I am 2 weeks pp, and the swelling went down about 9 days after birth. Don't worry unless you have visual disturbance, or headaches. Then you need to call the OB. Keep your feet elevated!

I was sooo swollen after I had my first dd. I coudn't even tie my shoes for about 10 days. It way worse after delivery then it was during pregnancy! I'm just curious to know if you had an epidural? I think that may be the casue of it. I had an epidural with my 1st, but my 2nd and 3rd I never had an epidural and I never had any swelling at all. Just curious to know if thats what caused it.
