I was reading about it and it said that it can lower your milk supply and make you gain weight, has anyone had this happen to them since they have been taking it?

The mini-pill, or progesteron only pill, is not suppose to affect your milk supply, although i'm sure for a few women it does. For the most part though if you are looking for a b/c method that is safe with breastfeeding it is one of the options your doctor will usually give you. Your other (hormonal) options are an IUD or depo-provera. The good thing about taking the mini-pill is that if you do think it is affecting your supply you can quit it right away as opposed to the other ones. The bad thing is you have to remember to take it everyday at the exact same time or it becomes less effective. I started the mini-pill when i was about 6 weeks post-partum. I didn't notice any affect on my supply, in fact i exclusivly breastfed for 6 months and frequeltly pumped extra milk to freeze. I continued taking the mini-pill for the next 5 months, so about 10 months total. I am now done breastfeeding my dd and am back on the regualr pill. I also didn't have any weight issues, i have been at my prepregnancy weight for some time now. I hope this helps, if you have any other quelstions about the mini pill feel free to ask.

I've been taking it since 6 weeks ppm, DD was born March 29th of this month. My milk supply has not decreased at all but I am finding the baby pounds are still hanging on a bit despite breastfeeding exclusively.
