I am 5'5" and weighed 115 before I got pregnant. I have gained 25 pounds. How long should it take to loose the weight?

I'm 5'4" and weighed between 113-115 before getting pregnant. I gained 55 lbs with my daughter. It took me about 7-8 months to get my body back into shape and into my size 2's. I did Weight Watchers and moderate exercising, including some pilates. I think if you diet and exercise the healthy way, it should take you a few months to get back. I'm now pregnant with my second child (38 weeks along) and have gained 35 pounds. I plan on nursing, which they say helps contract the uterus and gets your tummy back into shape, not to mention you burn about 500 calories a day. I plan on doing the Weight Watchers for nursing mommies and moderate exercising at about 5-6 weeks postpartum. I anticipate 2-4 months before I'm back to where I need to be. Good luck!

hello there...is it ok to color your hair days after giving birth?

I'm 5'2 and weighed about 100 pounds before my first was born, and I gained 60 pounds. It took forever to lose the weight.
I did Pilates and Karate. With karate, I was back in my pre pregnancy clothes, and had extra muscle. I plan on going back to karate after this one is born. Although, with this one I only gained about 30 pounds, and due in 4 weeks.
Just eat right and workout, and you should be fine.

Hi there - I like the sound of karate! I gained 25lbs during last pregnancy but unfortunately had a C section so couldn't really exercise properly for first 2 months. Anyway, just walked and walked and walked (with baby in sling or pram)during that time, and then returned to swimming and spinning. After four months, was back in my fav jeans and now baby is 8 months old, and I (think and hope!!) I'm back to normal!.
Just takes things easy, don't beat yourself up if you don't lose weight as quickly as you would like, and eat right. You will be fine.

I gained 33 pounds during my pregnancy. I lost 22 pounds within the first two months because I was breastfeeding. I didn't change my eating habits or workout. These last eleven pounds have been hard, though. I finally started watching what I eat and drink more water, and now I only have 2 pounds to be prepregnancy weight. I think it has to do with how much you gained, your age, your hormones, and rather you breastfeed or not. My baby is five months, so it is possible.
