women have been having babies for eons. back in the caveman days, there were no doctors to tell them when to have sex again so how do you think they decided? i think you should have sex when you AND he are ready. they didnt have c sections back them but these days, they even tell the vaginal deliverers to wait a certain time (4-6weeks) to have sex. but that didnt stop ME from doing the deed before my 4 week checkup. ive give birth vaginally twice, and never had a c section so im not speak from experience of your EXACT same situation, but i do know that when i chose to have sex was based more on when i felt i was ready rather than when the doctor said i was. its your body, who knows it better than you? with my first son, i waited 7 weeks and really STILL didnt feel ready but i did it anyways because his dad pressured me so much. with my second, i had absolutely NO pressure from his dad this time and i was TOTALLY ready like 3 weeks after. sex is natural whether youve had a ceserean or not. how long would you wait to have sex after breaking your arm? i also had my tubes tied after this baby. everything i read on tubals said you can have sex within a week after having the surgery. (hopefully that is a better reference than an arm break) :D good luck!

My doctor told me to wait 6 weeks after my c-section; after 3 weeks I had stopped bleeding, my incision was completely healed, adn my baby was an angel - so I was definately ready for some action; I called my dr, and asked if we could resume normal activities a little early...she said we shouldn't, but we did anyway, and lemme tell you, it was incredible. I just had my 6 week check up yesterday, and there were no issues, so apparently the early loving had no ill-effects. So, I say, as long as you're not bleeding and your incision is healed, have fun.

I had a baby three months ago and I also delivered by c-section and I needed to be close to my husband like that because I am going through PPD so when I made 4 weeks we made love again but be careful it is very easy to get pregnant again.

my doc told me that as soon as i feel up to it it's ok to have sex but i know it's too soon for me to do it (i have stitches from tearing and am still bleeding a bit). today, it just hit me- missing not just sex with my husband but being affectionate. i love my baby more than anything but i feel like it's just not happening with a baby constantly attached to my boobs. sorry, feeling weepy today.
