im just wondering what to expect after i deliver this baby and i plan to breastfeed it for at least 6 months, how soon can i get pregnant again? what can i do to increase my chances of conceiving straight away?

actually you are very fertile for the first year as you dilate more easily and in fact your cervix probably won't close all the way for several weeks post partum. also, breastfeed on demand. i have had regular periods since 7weeks, so don't bother with supplementing, its not worth it and you'll probably ovulate anyway as long as you don't have scheduled feedings. if you do tho even being an hour late for the feeding can allow you to ovulate. i say wait til at least 10weeks to see if you start your cycle and if not then mess around with your feeing schedule if you must. good luck
