Is This Normal?

i had my son about 6 weeks ago and im pretty sure i have my period, its so heavy that im going through a super plus tampon every hour sometimes every half hour, is this normal?

My first period after having my son was really heavy. If it persists call the dr to be on the safe side.

With my 2nd dd I got my period when I was only 6 weeks pp. It was extremely heavy. It lasted for about 3 periods and then it started to get lighter and less cramping.

Also I don't recommend wearing a tampon so soon after birth, especially when it's so heavy. Try a super overnight pad. Even though they're uncomfortable it's safer.
