I am a little confused my girlfriend whom I just recently met in May and started dating sprung the news on me that she is pregnant. The 1st DR. Appoinment she had an ultrasound and the doctor told her she is 12 weeks pregnant as of july 23rd 08. This is where I am confused as we never had unprotected sex until the last weekend of may and 1st week of june. counting backwards for the 12 weeks means she would have had to been pregnant in april and we were not together. She insists the baby is mine is this possible???

Hi Jack, I'm in the same boat as you, same month and her due date was in january 12 2007. The baby was 1 week late, I have a child before and I remember counting along. But this child is puzzling me, he mother is not my gf though.....the condom broke.

The Dr.'s calculate weeks starting from the first day of her last period. So when you are 4 weeks pregnant you are actually 2 weeks pregnant. The conception date would have been 10 weeks from the 23rd of July. So around May 7th would have been conception. Sounds like she is telling the truth. DNA is the only way to know for sure.
