Ovulation Calculation Questions

Hi. Me and my husband are trying to concieve this month. I have used a ovulation calender to predict that my ovulation day will be May 17. (Got period May 6, Lasted 3 days, 28 days cycle) I also have the test sticks which I will be using twice a day just to make sure. Based on these two methods, will I get accurate results? Do we (do the dance) after I get a positive? I have just read you are most fertile right before ovulation, so now I am even more confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

start having sex 3days before you expect to ovalate continue using your test strips and keep having sex every day til you get a positive an on the day after an see if it works gd luck
