Well Claire. If you are having a 40 week pregnancy, then it is more like a 10 month pregnancy, so you would be 5 months pregnant, with another 5 months to go. (taking each month as being 4 weeks) But not every month has 4 weeks in it. That is why pregnancy tends to be counte in weeks. I tend to think of it as being 'half way' as I am also 21 weeks pregnant today.

You are four months and three weeks pregnant. Look at it this way: if you are due on February 12th, like me, then on January 12th you are eight months pregnant, and going back to October 12th, when you will be five months pregnant.

And of course one month doesn't have four weeks, don't use that as a calculation, it's just going to confuse you.

Oh, by the way, four weeks is 28 days - only in leap years does a month have four weeks, and that's just one month of the year. So again, forget the 4 weeks = 1 month formula.

according to the book "what to expect when your expecting" you are 5 months pregnant. At 23 weeks you will be 6 months pregnant.

The timeline is like this: Month 1 = Weeks 1-4 Month 2 = Weeks 5-8 Month 3 = Weeks 9-13 Month 4 = Weeks 14-17 Month 5 = Weeks 18-21 Month 6 = Weeks 22-26 Month 7 = Weeks 27-30 Month 8 = Weeks 31-35 Month 9 = Weeks 36-40

work it out as a year there are 52 weeks in a year so half that at 26 wks you will be six months there are 4 wks and 3 days in some months, i know its confusing but i work it out to above.
