So Confused, Driving Me Mad!

hi everyone, please can some one help me work when i concieved and how far i am i have tried to work it so many times but its driving me mad.
Well my last period started on the 24th march 2008. I went for a early scan on the 4th June and they said i was 8 weeks and 5 days, now is this worked out from the day i concieved?
They gave me a due date of 10th Jan 2009, isnt this wrong??? i asked when i concieved and he said around the 19th april and got this date by counting back 38 weeks from my due date.
Please help me i so confused.Thanks everyone
