Two Periods In One Month...what Does It Mean?

i started my period on july 4th it lasted till the 8th and was normal. on the 15th i started to spot. first it was very light pink then brownish for two days then all of a sudden it was kinda heavy like a normal period. i'm still bleeding (normal) and today's the 18th. my periods are regular (on average 29 day cycle) and also my boyfriend and i have had unprotected sex the day i finished my first period up until wed. the 16th. i've never had this happen before so please somebody help!! i have no idea what this could mean.
