Anyone Get Bladder Infection After D&C?

I had my D&C just over two weeks ago. Last night I had horrible cramping, chills, pain in my hips,back and felt achy all over my body. Went to emergency and they made me do a urine sample and I guess I have a bladder infection. I was scared though because I thought it was an infection due to the D&C(in my uterus). They said because I wasent bleeding they didn't think so. What symptoms did you have after Bladder infection.

Hi Tara, I developed kidney infection after my D&C. This was because of untreated bladder infection. At the time I thought what I was feeling was post D&C symptoms. My symptoms were exactly what you described, and I had dizziness which was due to a very high temperature. I was put on 2 courses of Noroxon and it worked like a charm. It all cleared up very soon after starting the antibiotics.

Thankyou for responding! I think that I have a kindney infection too. I have had symptoms for awhile and I kept thinking it was because of the D&C . Others I talked to didn't have symptoms like mine after D&C and they got better and I seem to be getting worse. Doctor at emergency gave me antibiotics, but I think Ill try and make an appointment with my family doctor and have him check my kidneys. Im feeling a little better (no fever,chills ) but I still feel achy and pain on my sides, hips,back and abdominal area. It really sucks that we had to go through the loss and then have to suffer from a horrible infection. Best wishes to you
