I have had 2 early miscarriages and my Dr suspects that I have a luteal phase defect. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is it fixable? How quick? What's the treatment? How soon can I ttc again? I go for the biopsy on 8/26/05 to see if that's my problem. What are other sypmtoms of a luteal phase defect?

I never heard of that but i have had 2 m/c also. my doctor is performing a hysteroscope to see why I keep having m/c. I already have a 5 yr old son so I am sure that I can carry children. I think u should ttc again. I think we have bad luck. I know of someone that miscarried 3 times and then had a healthy baby.

I've had that done and eveything came back normal. I am scheduled for the test already, so I guess I'll wait and see what happens. Good luck to you!

Hi, I'm concerned that I have a short Luteal Phase... which means that there is not enough time for implantation before AF comes... Bran let me know what your doctor says...

Jen, Have you had a mc? Are you ttc? I'll let you know what she says.

Bran, I had a miscarriage on July 4th and I was 8 weeks pregnant. and I am ttc, I have a fertility monitor and it tells me I'm ovulating sometime CD 16-20. I have had a normal 28 day cycle although it is getting longer as the months go by, and last month it was 32 days.

Hi Bran,
I've also had 2 early m/cs (8 weeks & 9 weeks). I'm doing some testing right now (thyroid, HCG etc). Let me know what your doctor says about the luteal phase defect. I'm curious to know more about it.

Hey Guys, I was also diagnosed with a Luteal Phase defect...my doc put me on vaginal progesterone suppositorties to lengthen the phase (cycle)...it has seemed to work. I am not pregnant again yet, but my cycles have been a little longer since I've started. I was usually at 28 day cycle, but ovulate anywhere from day 16-20, and since I started the progesterone, my cycles have been up to 32 days, which would be ideal for implantation. Hope this helps

I still don't know yet about the length of my luteal phase, but I'm hoping its okay because I just found out I'm 6 weeks pregnant! Keeping my fingers crossed!

Hey Jen, I'm in the same boat.
2 m/cs later and just found out I'm pregnant again. I'm only 5 and a half weeks. Not going so good though.
My HCG level (last week) was only 157...very low. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Good Luck everyone!!!!
