Anyone Have M/c After Hearing HB On Doppler?

Hi pink roses, this is what happened to my friend exactly. Even after hearing the HB at 10 weeks, the doctor was full of reassurance how M/C risk was minimal now, but it still happened to her. She had her scan at 13 weeks, and it showed the baby stopped growing a couple of weeks beforehand. She decided to take precautions for three months and chart her cycle, as she really wanted to try for a girl. I think it worked either the first or second month and she did get her little girl. I am really sorry for your loss, I know how difficult it will be for you to relax next time, but I hope you can take some heart from my friend's story. |

hey pink#-roses, sorry to hear of your loss, I too bought a doppler and was able to hear my babes HB from around 12wks onwards, I m/carried and lost my little boy at 18.5 weeks, But I'm glad I got to hear his HB, we recorded it so I could still listen to it if I wanted to (have never yet:( Anyways, I am 14+3 wks pregnant now and all seems to be going smoothly so far, As for waiting for AF I had no choice as I bled for around 4 wks after the D&C... I have heard mixed reports here on the forums, A lot of women concieved right away (3wks after m/carriage) and she is now over 11 weeks and baby is doing good, then there are other women who also concieved right away and sadly it ended in m/carriage.....I hope everything goes ok for you, you deserve it after what you have been through, At least with the forums, people just don't 'write about how they are sorry for you'' they really are!!! Everyone whos had a m/carriage can feel your pain, None of my close firends have any children yet so when I lost my boy they didn't understand and at the time I also felt I had no-one to talk to |

mandy- that's great that you are pregnant! i am definately glad i found this board. it really has been helpful in going through this. i have hope knowing that lots of people get pregnant after m/c and go to term with healthy babies. i am probably going to wait 1 cycle like my MD initially said (i have a post-op appt in 2 weeks so i'll see what she says then) b/c i will worry too much if i get pregnant too early. good luck with your pregnancy! i wish you well! |
