I am so sorry, I had my d&c back on May 28th. I was given valium and demerol and the procedure was about 10-15 mins long. I will not lie, i did hurt even with the drugs and i had bad cramping for about 20 mins after while i recovered. I hope this helps you, again i am so sorry for your loss. And we waited until i got a normal period to try again, that took almost 8 weeks. But we just found out yesterday we are pregnant again. Hang in there and i am sure you will be in my situation sooner than you know it.

I was given good drugs that knocked me out entirely. Everything went well, without complications. My recovery was easy; I had no pain, but I did take it easy for a good week following. It took me about 4 weeks to get a normal period again, and the doctor suggested waiting two cycles before trying again (which we did).
