Does Clomid Mature Follicles

HI I was wondering if anyone knows if clomid mature follicles or just makes more. I just had my second miscarriage in a row. I'm wondering if my eggs are just inmature. It helped my friend "hold" her pregnancies, although she was able to get pregnant without it, she could not "hold" them. After taking it, she had two beautiful kids. I have one son. But I had one m/c before him and two in the past 6 moths. The recent one was twins, lost at 6 1/2 weeks. Thanks if anyone can help answer it would really appreciate it!
