Hi all, My name is Mandie and I have wrote in a few threads this past week and everyone has been really helpful...I'm 21 and had my first miscarriage on 1st June 2005 (after 2 healthy pregnancys), I was 16.5 weeks and the baby was a little boy... After I delivered him I was rushed for a D&c because I was in so much pain and the afterbirth wouldn't come away..Anyway its been nearly 3weeks now and I was wondering when its safe to try again...
There are so many different people saying different things.. I have not had a period yet after the M/S, is it possible to get pregnent Before I have a period? Do I wait until my 1st period comes? How long does it take?

mandie- Most doctors recomend waiting until at least one normal cycle for three reasons: Let your body heal, Let your mind heal, and to better date your new pregnancy. Since you had started your 2nd trimester. I would wait at least 3 cycles so your body heals or ask your doctor. I'm sorry you lost your baby. Good luck. I hope this helps.

mandie i got pg with no af inbetween i had am/c at 6wks on may 3

mandie, I am so sorry for your loss, thinking of you. I have had 2 m/c's, one in March 2005 at 6.5 weeks and one on June 8 2005 at 8.5 weeks. I had no af in between when I got pg again, I am firmly believing that you need to wait at least one cycle to help build your unterine lining. My doctor said it doesnt matter for dating b/c w/u/s machines they can determine that...thinking of you!
