HCG Level After Miscarriage And Starting Your Cycle Again

I finally stopped bleeding, after 8 weeks and a D&C, and my HCG level went from 5 to 2 (2 weeks post mc). Does anyone know if you can start your menstrual cycle again when you are below 5 or does the HCG level have to hit 0? Thanks!

I'm not sure if the levels have to reach 0 to begin the next menstrual cycle. I just spoke to my doctor and she said that my level is 3, and she said that because it was below 5, I was considered "normal". I don't get much information from my doctor, so if you find out I'd be interested to know.

I just read someones response to another question and it stated that if your levels are under five, it is actually considered zero. I hope that helps.

Jill's right - under 5 counts as "negative."
