I had a miscarriage at 11 wks and a d&c was perfmd back in Nov 08. Had heavy bleeding both periods after but then started bleeding terribly 2 days after the 2nd period. Ended up in the ER and had to have another D&C done. I was scared to death thinking it was cancer. Went for post op visit and they said the bleeding was due to "left over placental tissue" from the first D&C. In other words, they didn't get everything cleaned out. I had never had trouble getting preg before and am really anxious to try again but can't for 3 months because my body has to rebuild it's blood supply due to the large loss of it I had (half my blood supply!). They had put me on BC after the second D&C before the other results were back thinking my hormones were out of wack causing all the bleeding. Now they said to stay on them for a couple of months still anyways and go off for one month for a reg cycle and then try to conceive. Anyone else ever go through this?
