Has Anyone Gotten A Positive Pregnancy Test 4.5 Weeks After

I had a D&C 4.5 weeks ago after suffering a missed miscarriage. Today I took a HPT and got a positive reading. My Dr. had me come in for HCG testing and again this Friday. Has anyone else gotten a positive pregnancy test more than a month after miscarriage?

Hi Condi, I am exactly in your situation. I had a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks when I went for my scan. I had a D&C the next day (Aug 13th) Thursday, and my bleeding stopped within 2 days (I was told it had all moved down and was going to pass itself within the next 24 hours anyway) then I had bleeding just like a normal period on the Tuesday after - I checked with the midwifes and they said it was possible becuase my HCG levels would have been lower, anyway... I had my 2 week follow up appointment after the D & C and was told eveything was fine and we could start trying again whenever we wanted... so we did try and now I have returned 2 positive tests. I spoke with my doctor yesterday and she sent me straight to pathology to have my HCG levels done and I have to go again tomorrow and then she will ring me with results on Monday!! Today is my 5 week mark from my D & C and my Docotr said that HCG levels only stay high for a maximum of 3 weeks after the D & C!
