Hello, I currently found out that I am 5 weeks pregnant. Everything had been going fine, and I had slight, spotty bleeding, but I found out that is just fine. Yet now, two days later, I am having medium-heavy bleeding. It isn't bad, and I am not cramping, but I am just worried because this is my frist pregnancy. May I get some advice as to if you believe there is a chance? I forgot to mention I'm seeing a doctor on tuesday, my obgyn. Also, if any of you had been pregnant, and had a healthy baby, and had symptoms like such, please let me know. Thanks!

I bled heavily at 6 weeks with baby #1. Even though there was a strong hb on the u/s, there was so much bleeding that the ER doctor and my midwife both said I could lose the baby. But I didn't. It seemed to be the placenta burrowing into the uterine lining, which happens around 6-7 weeks, and sometimes causes bleeding. I went full term and had an 11.5 lb baby boy naturally (no drugs, vaginal birth!). With baby #2, I spotted off and on for a couple weeks before finally losing that pregnancy at 11w6d. I'm pregnant again and have spotted off and on this time too for the last month and all seems to be well. If you start cramping, that's a really bad sign. Good luck!

Thank you a lot, Susan W. I didn't really cramp, it was just sligh pains here and there that lasted only a few seconds, then went away. And they weren't reoccuring or anything. I'm sorry it took so long, I have just been busy! But thank you!
